Catching Up with the homie in Canada

When I first arrived in Thailand back in 2019, I met someone on my second day who would go on to become a lifelong friend. Fast forward to now—it's been almost six months since I last caught up with Hiren in New York, so this reunion was long overdue.

I made the eight-hour drive up to Toronto to visit his hometown, meet his family and girlfriend, and just spend some quality time together. We did a bit of sightseeing, shared a few drinks, and—of course—played several rounds of Dance Dance Revolution (some traditions never die).

The best part about real friendships is that no matter how much time passes, it always feels like you’re picking up right where you left off. Huge thanks to Hiren for a great (and very cold) weekend in Canada.

On the way home, I made a quick stop at Niagara Falls to see it completely frozen over—absolutely stunning and definitely worth the detour.
